HSE Shop: HSE Laundry Detergent

 I have been making our laundry detergent for probably 2 years now.  Our family is filled with people with varying sensitivity issues and they now rely on HSE Laundry Detergent because it is gentle on your skin and doesn't contain all those chemicals you can't pronounce.

Let's be honest here, I've forgotten about the laundry in the washing machine just like I'm sure nearly everyone else has.  Ever open the machine and get hit with that sour smell?

Using HSE Laundry Detergent, I only have to rewash the clothes to get the smell out.

HSE Laundry Detergent is gentle on my delicate clothes and tough on extra dirty ones.

It is also safe for all types of machines, including HE machines.

Homespun Kitchen: Homespun Superbowl Dip

Superbowl Dip

In our house, we love the Superbowl and no Game Day is complete without my Superbowl Dip!

This is a recipe that I originally learned from one of Paul's aunts (love you Aunt Debbie) back before we got married.  I ate so much of it that I made myself sick off of it!

That aside, it's got to be one of the best dips I've ever had, and it's super simple to make too!

What you'll need:

1 pound lean ground beef (the leaner the beef, the less shrinkage) made into taco meat

(You can find the recipe I use for homemade taco seasoning here)

1 can diced tomatoes and green chilies or your favorite salsa (or homemade)

1/2 loaf cheese loaf, cubed (I know, it's processed, but it works better than anything else)

Your favorite tortilla chips

To make:

1. Make your taco meat and set aside.
2. In your crockpot, add taco meat, cheese and diced tomatoes and chilies or salsa and cheese.
3. Heat on low stirring occasionally until cheese is melted and everything is heated through.
4. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips.

Welcome to our little home on the web where you can information on how to keep your home looking and smelling it's best while keeping you sane!

When Paul and I decided to start a business, we didn't do so without much thought and planning.

This business officially began in October 2016 on Facebook and it's been in the building and planning stages since then.

We have gone back and forth about what kind of a business we wanted to run, who would be in charge of what, would we sell physical products or just monetize a website?

In the end, we decided to do a little of both.  I'll be monetizing the site (this is my way to help supplement Paul's full-time day-job) as well as selling some of the things I make for our home.
